Plot:

The island of Bachiatari. Every villager that has stepped upon this island has been cursed. 'They' have come and taken the children. This island is made of a small farm. And then millions of thousands of grains of sand, which if you count isn't a lot, in a desert that stretches from the farm on the shoreline to who knows where? This is when a few people stumble upon the farm, stuck there without knowing how. This begins our story.

If you ask, more will be written as we roleplay.

Personality: Outgoing, adventureous, freaks out easily. Has experience with farming, but very little.
Past: She came from a family of farmers, but new very little as her family could not support her. She spent 5 years there, then was adopted by a rich family. She forgot all about her old family, and knows a lot about the outside world.

What He/She Has When They Got On The Island: A bag, a bottle of milk, a bottle of water, a book, clothes, and some papers.
Why They Are On The Island: Hani was sleeping outside of her house, when a tornado hit. It wasn't really like a tornado, it was red and black, and seemed to have a ghastly face on it. It sucked her up and spit her into the island, where she got amnesia from hitting a tree.

Past: She died on the island a long time ago, her spirit wanders the island, seeking for something that can put her to 'sleep.' She forgot about searching for it when early settlers arrived. She had so much fun with the other children that she wanted to stay alive.

Why They Are On The Island: To figure out why the childern are disappearing and to stop the curses.

Name: Sprout

Gender: Appears male, but crossdresses and acts like a girl for no reason sometimes...

Age: 17

Personality: Rather odd, tends to inadvertantly cause problems for others. Rather mischivious, when he seems to be stealing the seed of the Tree of Life one second, he's defending it from shadow beasts the next.

Past: The forests of Arous were so thick and full of monsters, few have ever gotten a few miles through. However, one day, Sprout appeared amist the trees, carrying a sack, and a staff carved from an oak sapling. Sprout is a druid, a master of nature, and has apparently been sent by a force even he does not know about to cure the island of its curse. He currently lives in a small cottage near the edge of the forest, farming and keeping the Shadow Beasts that live in the forest at bay...

What He/She Has When They Got On The Island: Oak Sapling Staff, he uses it to channel druidic energies, lots and lots of seeds, natural reagents such as leaves, twigs, and berries.

Why They Are On The Island: Has been sent by an unknown force to cleanse the island of it's taint. Although he presumably came from the mainland, he does not remember much..

Other Notes: Sprout has been afflicted with the curse of the island as well. Due to his druidic nature, he is not hit in the normal ways. Instead, every night, he falls to the ground and transforms into a wolf. While in wolf form, he only vaguly remembers his human form, and can only recognize faces he might have seen. Villagers often will attack him on sight for his form, while others, such as Hani will protect him and even take him in. Before dawn, he slinks back to his cottage, and as the first rays of sun hit him, he turns back into Sprout. Sprout has no memory of the events of the past night, and will often wake with a headache.

Being a wolf, he has a special, interchangable group of Instincts. His stats also change:

Intellegence: 5: Being a wolf, he does not have the quick thinking of a man, but still retains enough intellegence to be effective.
Strength: 8: As a wolf, his paws enable him to run quickly, and he does not tire very easily.
Agility: 10: As in his human form, he is very agile and able to dodge almost any attack.
Wisdom: 1: He has the mind of an animal, and his pack instincts will cause him to possibly hunt chickens, or breed with a female wolf, with possibly dire consequences.
Defense: 6: His thick fur will protect him from most blunt and slashing damage, but cannot withstand much.

Wolf Benifits: As a wolf, he can easily track enemy foes via his sense of smell. He also is capable of Dashing high speeds to escape foes and/or angry villagers. In this form, he is effectivly a true wolf, and has hightened senses. He can also talk to animals.

Wolf Disadvantages: Being a wolf, he cannot understand most human speech. He can understand basic expressions, (ie, if Hani is stroking his fur and speaking kindly to him, he will understand that she enjoys his company) and very, very basic commands, such as yes, no, stay. His animal instincts will also prevent him from resisting certain Urges, IE, if he sees a chicken and he is hungry, he will lose stats, energy and whatnot if he tries to resist chasing it. His animal mentality will also react if someone feeds him- he will grow to like them more. A few nights of this could possibly result in him being tamed by this person, and losing the ability to return to human form in the daytime. If, say, Hani takes pity on him when the villagers catch him in a snare, and frees him, he might follow her home, and eventully grow so strong to her that he cannot return to human form. The other problem is if he sees a female wolf. The form is unstable- if he breeds with this wolf, he will be permanently locked in wolf form. Well.. there is a way to return, but it is.. secret. Therefore, it is hard for Sprout to avoid much danger at night. The woods might hold a mate, while the village holds angry villagers.

Instincts: Instincts are special abilities that Sprout can use while in wolf form. These range from gaining damage bonus when attacking Shadow Beasts, to being able to understand human speech better. To gain instincts, Sprout must find them while in wolf form. They can be found by accomplishing tasks or finding areas. Some Instincts are One Use- they can be used one time, then you must find another somehow. Others are permanent- they apply a bonus to something permanently.

Taming: As any animal, with enough care, Sprout will become the equivalent of a pet. An internal Happiness meter, similar to the Love Meter when finding a wife/husband exists. To raise it, a person must spend time with Sprout. Talking with him at night, feeding him, stroking him, will all gain happiness. It is subject to diminishing returns though- Sprout cannot be tamed in one night with a cartload of meat, but if you spend lots of time with him all night, or do something particulatily happiness gaining, he might be tamed in one night.

Heart Levels- Sprout has 7 levels of happiness for each person in the village. He starts out at Black Heart for each, and when he is at Red Heart, he is considered the Pet of that person. Bear in mind that only one person can raise him to Red at one time.

Black: Sprout generally avoids this person, as with anyone else. If provoked with meat, however, he might come over if they use gentle words.

Purple: Sprout is no longer afraid of this person, and will go up to them and be cute if he sees them.

Blue: Sprout will go find this person if they are within a certain range on his Tracking and be fuzzy.

Green: Sprout will follow this person around town like a companion. He also will fight any shadow beasts that appear to defend them.

Yellow: Sprout will activly go to this person's farm during the night and chat with the animals. He also will not attack any animals owned by this person. He follows this person around if they come home. Sprout cannot change back into human form at this point.

Orange: Sprout shows deep affection for this person, and will attempt to enter their house, whether invited or not. He also might use his tounge to show affection. (That means lick.) Animals owned by close friends of this person are also left alone.

Red: Sprout and this person share a bond so deep, they have adopted him as a pet. He will generally follow them around unless let wander around, and assist with farm chores. It also will cause villagers to stop fearing him, although they will still avoid him if at Black Heart. He can only be Red with one person at a time.


Mates: If Sprout sees a female wolf while stalking the Arous forest, he might become attracted to her. The female and he will possibly mate at this point. If Sprout mates, he will be sealed in wolf form, even if the female leaves or is killed. He can only be cured via a powerful druidic spell.


Stalking: Sprout has the ability to turn invisible for small amounts of time at night. This is limited at daytime. Any attacks he does while Stalking will deal bonus damage and remove him from it.


Foraging: While exploring, Sprout has a small chance to smell a foragable. This can be anything from a mushroom in the forest, to Hani's lost blanket behind her house. He can Gather this item like any other profession.


Farming: While Sprout cannot farm by himself, if he is owned by someone, he can assist them with farming. He can carry a basket of seeds or crops in his mouth, or water. He is more efficient the better relationship he has with the townsfolk in average.


Malfurion: Malfurion is a rat. He is Sprout's pet and partner, when he is human, he sleeps in his room and is constantly pet and talked about by the druid, but when night comes, he travels with Sprout and assists him with combat. He is aware of Sprout's transformation but does not tell him. He is classified as a Magi, and can use several damaging spells. Why, you might ask, is a rat able to hurl fireballs at beasts of pure shadow? We honestly don't know. Oh, and he's fuzzy.
