Gym SystemAlright, i'm announcing an Unofficial Gym system to use before PMR2 comes out. If you wish to sign up as a Gym Leader, Gym Trainer, or Gym Pokemon, come here!
How it works
If you wish to become a Gym Leader you must:
Be a trainer
Have at least 3 pokemon of the same Type
Have all of these pokemon be around the same level
Have a set power level, which will be edited based on the gym location.
If you have all of these, you can ask me, a GM, or Kira to sign you up. If they feel you are responsible enough to run a gym, you will optain an empty gym with a set outline of rooms and walls that you can then customize to your standards.
Maintaining a Gym
To keep your gym a challenge, you must have these things in your gym:
A training room with 2 training dummies per Gym Trainer
A Gym Leader Arena
A puzzle or maze of some sort
a common theme
Most of these should be easy, but remember this: You want your arena to be stylish. Have it be memorable, have obstacles, have something to put you in the advantage.
Keep these things in your Gym, and always be expanding, and you will keep your Gym Leader status no problem.
To Become a Gym Trainer or a Gym Pokemon
Firstly, you must either have a pokemon of the type of gym you want to be, or otherwise be a pokemon of that type. Go to A GM, me, or Kira, and ask to join that gym. If you have no pokemon, you will be led to a Training room where you can pick out a pokemon from the Gym pokemon.
Trainer Promotions
When you begin your career as a Gym Trainer, you will obtain the rank of Rookie. In this rank:
Your Gym Leader can decide what icon you use. (assuming they're in the maze) and you can only have one pokemon.
As you win battles, your rank improves.
Here are the ranks:
Rookie: 1 pokemon, no icon choice.
Amateur: 2 pokemon, no icon choice.
Novice: 3 pokemon, limited icon choice.
Pro: 4 pokemon, limited icon choice.
Expert: 5 pokemon, free icon choice.
Master: 6 pokemon, free icon choice.
Limited choice means that you can only pick from the trainer icons you can pick from in the maze, but you can only pick ones that match the gym.
Free choice means you can pick any icon in the maze, as long as it is a human icon of your gender.
Being a Gym Pokemon
So, tired of running from trainers in the wild? Maybe the life of a gym Pokemon is for you.
A Gym Pokemon is either:
A pokemon who comes to a gym without a trainer, and then is assigned to a trainer
A pokemon who comes to a gym with a trainer and is automatically assigned to a trainer
A leader's pokemon
A Gym pokemon is expected to follow the rules of the person holding their pokeball- if a pokemon misbehaves, the trainer is at fault.
Usually this means Train when possible, don't use dumb attack names, respect the trainer, ect.
